Ten Pin Linky {Classroom Management}

Did you follow me on Bloglovin yet? Numbers show, less than half of you have followed me there! If not, be sure to do that before continuing to read this post! Google Reader doomsday is approaching! Click the button over to the right to follow my blog through Bloglovin and never miss a post!

My favorite linky is back! Ashley at Just Reed has the newest edition of her Ten Pin Linky. This week's theme is classroom management.

I couldn't be more excited with the theme of the week. As a soon to be teacher, it's basically all about the classroom management. Without a well managed class, nothing is going to get done. I will be sure to bookmark this linky and repin all the pins that I find so I can have access to all these fabulous classroom management techniques at my fingertips!

Click here to be taken to my classroom management Pinterest board!

Here are my top 10 pins that I can't wait to implement in my future classroom.

Aren't these such fabulous ideas! There are such genius teachers out there! What did we ever do without Pinterest! Thanks for hosting Ashley! I'm headed off to check out all the other pins!

Jump on the Bloglovin Bandwagon!

July 1st is only a mere 12 days away! Yikes! July 1st might bring plenty of pleasant things such as a new Farley's Currently. However, July 1st marks the end of a beloved friendship with Google Reader and Google Friend Connect.

What to do with all those blogs! How will you be able to spend the entire Summer blog stalking and pinning new ideas for your classroom if you have no place to read them? Have no fear! Bloglovin is here to save the day!

I have loved being able to blog stalk hundreds of blogs daily with Google Reader. I have loved seeing my number of followers grow on Google Friend Connect and being able to celebrate with each milestone. While I might lose all nearly 600 followers on Google Friend Connect, I won't lose all 200+ blogs that I follow on Google Reader! Bloglovin makes it easy to transfer all the blogs you currently follow over so that you will never miss a beat! And starting over with new followers on Bloglovin, I will be able to re-celebrate milestones! That just means more fabulous giveaways for you! Didn't you luck out big time?

Well after all that talk, you must be wondering how do I follow your blog already! See the Bloglovin button over to the right? Just click it, create a Bloglovin account, and you will be kept up to date with all the happenings on my blog! You definitely will be wanting to stay following The Polished Teacher because I have a HUGE giveaway coming up for my 1 year bloggy birthday in August!

If you need some step by step instructions on how to make a Bloglovin account, Catherine from The Brown Bag Teacher has got you covered with a picture tutorial! It's really easy peasy! Click her blog button below to find out how!

July 1st will be here before you know it! Switch over to Bloglovin and join the fun!

Monday Made It + Big Giveaway Winners!

You know how you get all those catchy little commercial jingles stuck in your head? That has been happening a lot this summer seeing as I am watching way too much tv! I keep trying to come up with my own random jingles for all the fun linky parties going on in the blogosphere. I tried to make my own Five for Friday one based off the one for the Five Dollar Footlong from Subway. It went a little something like this...

Five,
Five for,
Five for Friday...
with Doodle Bugs Teaching

Is this a good jingle? Nope. Why do I feel the need to do these crazy things? I have no clue whatsoever! However, I feel that the Monday Made-It linky party definitely needs its own too! Any ideas? I'll get working on it and let you know next week what I come up with!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I was on a roll these past 2 weeks with themed creations. This week, sadly there is no theme as I didn't go shopping once. I had to pull out of my magical Mary Poppins bag of crafting and use what I bought last summer. But have no fear! I will try and work on a theme again for next week! Maybe I will play guess the crafting theme and there will be prizes involved! That sounds like fun don't you agree?

As always, I'm linking up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics to share my Monday Made It creations this week!

Here's the random hodge podge of crafting that I was up to a couple of hours ago this weekend.

First...

This was super easy to make! Buy a 16 cent tile at Home Depot, wrap it in washi tape, modge podge a fun graphic on top, seal with a top coat of modge podge, glue felt on the bottom so you don't scratch your table, bada bing bada boom all done!

Next...

Sticking with my one true love, washi tape are these adorable pointers! Once again a really simple creation that even I couldn't mess up! You take a tongue depressor popsicle stick and cover it in one strip of washi tape. Then you seal it with modge podge and stick a button at the end. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

 Then...

These glitter clothespins that have been floating all around Pinterest and I just had to make! Luckily I had glitter and clothespins that I bought last summer in my magical bag so this was just meant to be! This was the easiest craft ever! Brush a layer of modge podge onto the clothespin, sprinkle on glitter, seal with a top coat of glitter. Easy as 1, 2, 3!

Finally...

While at Lowes last weekend, I snagged these free paint swatch books. I wasn't sure what to make with it but then it hit me. All I did was tear out all the extra pages leaving just the paint chip samples. Then I took some animal stickers and added a random number from 1-10 to each paint chip. Then on the back I wrote the corresponding numeral and number word. This is a simple activity that the kids can use to practice one to one correspondence. I think it turned out quite cute!

I think I am really getting the hang of this Monday Made It thing! These crafts keep getting better and better each week! I can't wait to see what's up my sleeve next week!
