Computer Llama Drama + {FREEBIE}

Well here I am finally re-connected to the blogging world after being without a computer for 2 weeks. I have the worst luck. What was my number one goal on Black Friday shopping? To pick up a portable hard drive to save all my 2,000 teacher blogger products on. I have been wanting this for months now but knew the deals would be cheap then. What happened one week before this goal? My laptop completely died and my hard drive went kaput. I just got my laptop and it truly was a blank slate. Then I took my portable hard drive to download what I had saved elsewhere and what did I find? The hard drive that I bought for $60 wasn't Mac compatible. Lesson learned the hard way. Don't be like me. Always get a portable hard drive before you start downloading things you never want to lose on your computer and make sure you read the package before you buy something even if it is in the madness of Black Friday.

Now while I was gone, I missed hitting 10,000 site views and never got around to celebrating reaching 200 followers. I will just have to wait around til the next milestone to celebrate. Hope you don't mind!

I Puffy Heart Wordle

Wordle and I have become best friends. It is such a great little tool that can be used for anything. I can already sense a lot Christmas presents coming out of Wordle this year. It is the perfect tool all around.

But my favorite part is the fact that you can plug in your blog address and it will make a Wordle of all the words you most use on your blog. Here is what my blog turned up!

I just love that two of the most prominant words are about being thankful and giving back. That is the whole premise of my blog. However, "freebie" isn't listed prominantly there which is something I am hoping to change in the near future. I just have to get through this week first! And can you tell that I talk about Cindy from Granny Goes to School enough? She's all over my blog. What does your blog look like in Wordle form? I'd love to know!

Stuffed With Thankful Thoughts

November is such a wonderful month. It leads up to my absolute time of year: Christmas! While Christmas is a time to celebrate and be merry, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect upon all you have. I am delighted to link up for Lyndsey from A Year of Many Firsts' linky party!

Here are a few things I am expecially thankful for this year:
1. My family - I honestly do not know where I would be without my family. They are always there for me when I need them. I am never happier than when I am home with my family.

2. My friends - My friends are the best. They constantly make me laugh and are such a joy to be around. I have made so many new friends this year and I am so thankful they have been placed in my life.

3. My house - With two storms recently I am so thankful that my house is still standing. I love my house. It is so cheery and cozy. I love every second I spend curled up on the couch in my pj's!

4. My teacher mentors - My teachers are so supportive of my educational journey. I learn so much from them each and every day. They are always so willing to help me out with anything I ever need. I couldn't do it without them!

5. My little blog - I am so thankful for this little blog. I have learned so much from this blogging world in such a short time. I have made such great friends and they have helped me so much. I just can't wait to see where we go from here!

200 Followers Randomosity

I woke up to a lovely surprise this morning. I made it to 200 followers! It's crazy to think 200 people out there follow my blog. Love this world! Expect something in the future to celebrate.

In the meantime, I am thinking of developing a schedule to stick to each week which will help me post. Once I figure it out, I will let you all know.

In other random news, a little while back I attended the Carrie Underwood concert. It was so amazing, and she had the most beautiful dresses! If you are looking for a concert to attend, definitely go see Carrie. She definitely won't disappoint! Here are a few pics from the show:

I am finally all caught up and back in business. Next week is set to be the most stressful week of my life but then it is all good from there. November Currently

Well so much for posting just once today. Since I didn't post all week I can make up for it today right? How can I pass up an opportunity to participate in Farley's Currently for November. That thing fills up fast! If I wait another day I will be number 100! Here's my currently for this month!

Listening: Everybody Loves Raymond. What can I say. That was the ultimate hilarious cast. I just love this show. Laughter is the best medicine and this show is just what the doctor ordered!

Loving: Halleluiah! Power has been restored! It's the little things in life! Hoping everyone still without power gets it restored soon! I know I have a lot of catching up to do! Especially in all the TV shows that didn't get DVR'd this week!

Thinking: I highlight an article for research and instead of highlighting a few quotes here and there I literally highlight entire paragraphs which equals about 90% of the text on the page. I need serious help!

Wanting: Enough said! It's going to be a jam-packed month up til Thanksgiving and I can't wait until it arrives. Once Thanksgiving is over it's full on Christmas which is my absolute favorite time of year. Last year it didn't seem like Christmas even happened so I'm for sure going full out this year!

Needing: I WILL get a personal laminator this year! I'm sick of having to have things prepared a week in advance to get laminated only to find the people rip the product and you have to start over. Other options: drive an hour to Lakeshore for the cheap price or pay $3 a foot right on site. Neither are good with me. Personal laminator it is! 

Music: I am a total Swifty. Taylor's new album has been on repeat any time I am in the car. My favorite is a toss up between "22" and her duet with Ed Sheeran "Everything Has Changed".

The Lights are Back On!

Finally! We got power back in my household this morning. Sandy was a doozy! Hope everyone else out there is safe and sound. It wasn't anything to do with the rain that made it difficult it was just the wind. Seven trees fell in the yard but none hit the house. We were so lucky! Boy has it been an experience going without power or water for the week. I am so glad to have gotten it back. There is only so much you can do with no power, no tv, no internet, and no electronic devices. I was going stir crazy! I have missed blogging and my blogging buddies! I know I missed my Weekly Wednesday freebie and I have nothing to link up today for Freebie Friday. I am going to owe you all big time! I have lots of catching up to do on posts. I am going to be online 24/7 this weekend downloading all the great freebies I missed! Glad to be back in the blogosphere safe and sound!
