  1. We don't have an open house but we do a Kindergarten Orientation. We give the parents a little info to prepare them for the first day and then the kids get to come and visit the classrooms.

  2. We have an Open House that is more so for the parents to fill out info and learn what ECSE is all about. They can bring the child though and they just play.

  4. We're having a Back to School Bash this year. It's supposed to be out on the football field. It's new for this campus. I'm new to the district as a whole, so I'm not sure how it's been done in the past.

  5. OUr open House is pretty informal. It is the night before school starts and the kids can bring in all their supplies.

  6. Open House is in October. Families come to school & visit classrooms. Teachers usually have sign-up sheets set out for Nov p/t conferences.

  7. Our Open House is before school starts-so I have a scavenger hunt sometimes and places to put things. Not sure yet what I will do this year.

  8. Open house is a chance to meet parents and have the kids visit their new classrooms for the first time. They can drop off supplies and check out the space while parents fill out some forms and sign up for conference times.

  9. We have two sessions where we talk about the curriculum and everything parents need to know about how you run your classroom.

  10. We do Open House before school starts. It is very informal and we encourage the children to bring in their supplies.

  11. Open house is the week before school starts. Parents and students enter through our gymnasium where they can sign up for various things like PTO, purchase school shirts, and so on. Then they are given an hour to visit the new teacher and classroom.

  12. Open House is for the students and parents to meet the teachers and see the classrooms.

  14. We have a "Meet the Teacher" night and I love making the kids a little treat to take home and share with their families. I always do a bag of popcorn with the sign "Thanks for popping in"
