Be consistent! Model and practice all expectations.
ReplyDeleteWe use CHAMPS throughout the entire school. It helps students understand what is expected of them at all times.
ReplyDeleteWe do not have a set of class rules. I do a ton of 'talking' about right and wrong though :)

My Second Sense
I have 4 simple rules that I consistently enforce so the children learn.

ReplyDeleteI use the whole brain teaching clip chart.
ReplyDeleteOn the first day, as a class we choose our classroom expectations and we all sign saying we will always try our best to follow all expectations.
ReplyDeleteI try to use love and logic when subbing. I also use the happy/frown face T chart. Kindergarten students love to choose what shape to put under the happy face if everyone is quiet.
ReplyDeleteI use the whole brain teaching class rules.
ReplyDeleteI also use the whole brain rules, mostly...
ReplyDeleteWe have the 3 Bs: Be Safe, Be Respectable, Be Responsible
ReplyDeleteI use the Whole Brain Teaching method. This will be my 2nd year using it in my first grade classroom and I love it so far!
