  1. Our fav science experiement was baking soda and dropping vinegar into it for tiny explosions. I also love all of their clip art. It's hard to choose just one.

  3. I give the kiddos choices about what they would like to do after their other work is done... They can choose to read, write or play an educational game.

  4. Since I'm an ELAR teacher, my science is pretty limited. We do talk about real-world application of all skills though. Several of our reading passages are non-fiction, which includes some science.... does that count? :)

We use Love & Logic in my classroom, which is all about choice. Our rules are all based around choice. The only real "rule" we have is to follow daily routines.

  5. I love clip art! It takes any boring document and just makes it so much cuter! The Mister has a thing with adding pandas to his documents for work, so I would probably get at least one thing panda related. My classroom is all about sweets, so I'd love some candy or sweet shoppe clip art! :)

  6. I like to hatch butterflies for science, love animal clip art or stick children, and for choice they get to choose centers and books almost every day.

  7. I love to sort living and nonliving for Science, love children clipart and choice-sometimes I have kids choose how they want to turn their papers in; pass them around, get up and turn them in or they choose what free play activities they would like to play.

  8. For science I love hatching butterflies in our classroom. I like giving my students (special ed) choices so that they feel empowered, but the choices I give them are MY choices. It would take me hours to choose the clip art I would want to purchase.

  9. Favorite science activity: building race tracks from different materials
Choice: We use CHAMPS school wide to set expectations for all students. I do give students choice in doing some activities over a concept.
Clip Art: I really like the crayon frames!
