  1. For Team Building, last year my school had Monday mornings set aside for class meetings, and they gave us different activities.

  2. For transitions, when I taught Pre-K I used music to signal different transition times.

  3. For team building we do different activities where the children have to work cooperatively in a group of 4-5 to solve or perform certain tasks. We work on getting everyone to participate and work together. It takes a lot of modeling and practice!

  4. For transitions I just verbally tell them that we are switching to something else. I usually give 10 and 5 minute warnings to finish up whatever they are working on. For team building we talk a lot about how we want others to treat us and bullying.

  5. Transitions-I usually say "Superheroes away" and they fly to their desks or the carpet, etc. Team building-I am going to have them do an activity using pipe cleaners that I saw on pinterest.

  6. For transitions I use a small I just direct them by table. I have never used anything special for it.

  7. I use a visual timer so that my students know how much time is left before the next activity. For some students I also use a visual mini-schedule.

  11. Transitions: Countdown on whiteboard
    Team Building: activities where you cannot succeed unless you have help (ie: puzzles where you need more pieces, etc)

  12. Transitions: I sometimes will do a timer--or send different groups of students to see "who can do it faster/quieter".
    Team Building: Different activities they have to complete together.
