The first giveaway has ended! Were you the lucky winner???

Congrats Bren! I will be contacting you in with your prize information shortly! Expect an e-mail from me soon!

Don't you want to be a lucky winner like Bren? Be sure to enter each day, as many entries as you are allowed! Just one isn't enough! You want all the odds stacked in your favor! Here are the links to the previous days to catch up if you missed any!

Today's giveaway features three of my favorites!

Isn't Liz's blog name and button just adorable!

Some amazing clip art to inspire fabulous creations!

Remember Graphics by Sarah Beth from yesterday? Well she's back at it again for her blog today! How generous!

Be sure to show these ladies some following love! All it takes is a simple click and it makes the world of difference!

Also, I really do appreciate you taking the time to leave a blog post comment each day. I read each and every one of them! I am using all the responses to help me plan for my first year teaching so while they might seem pointless, there is meaning behind each one! I know it also helps other first year teachers who read my blog so keep them coming! Thanks!

See you tomorrow where I announce another winner and have some more fantastic prizes to share! May the odds be ever in your favor!

  8. We have a small patio table, a bean bag chair and a cube table in the room. I think that I am going to buy a new floor lamp for my living room, and will add that to my room. This will go nicely, since with a wall of windows, I rarely turn on the overhead lights.

  10. My classroom isn't too 'homey' but we work very hard on our behavior to one another. We have a Very Special Person each week and at the end of the week each child writes a little letter to that person where they tell why they are special. I put them all in a little book (the VSP makes a cover for himself) and I write an acrostic using the child's name and staple it all together. It is really sweet to read what they've written to one another.

  14. I start the year with activities to help build a sense of community with the class, I believe this the first step in make a class home.

  15. To give my room a homey feel, I build a sense of community starting on day one. I encourage my students to help create a list of rules/behaviors/expectations for our classroom. This gives the kids a sense of ownership.

  16. To help my class feel homey I try to make things seem as familiar to my class as possible. I teach French Immersion kindergarten, so my students are coming into a strange language all day long and everything seems overwhelming and alien. I try to have as many visuals and support structures to help the students gain a sense of understanding and comprehension about school.

  17. I have small classes, usually 15 or less, and I encourage my students to work together and watch out for each other. I try to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible.

  18. I am not sure, but I hope that it will work out nicely, I am going to make my classroom very colorful, but for my first year it will be very simple.

  19. After 30+ years of teaching upper-grades, I became a kindergarten teacher in October. It was a big change, but my kids just tell me it's like spending the day with a loving grandmother, so our room reflects that atmosphere. I have lots of touchable knick knacks in the room, all related to themes in reading, science, and social studies.

  20. In order for our classroom to have a "home-like" feeling I have several pillows and rugs in different areas of the room to allow the students to read comfortably.

  21. I make the classroom warm and inviting with the decor and accessories, but most importantly, I make the classroom atmosphere like a family. We are supportive and encouraging of one another. We cheer one another and lift each other up. That is how I make it feel like "home" or at least the home atmosphere I wish all my military kiddos have/had at home.
